Centering Prayer/Lectio Divina Group

This group is dedicated to fostering a deep inner spirituality through the use of two ancient prayer forms: Centering Prayer and Lectio Divina. On Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in Room #11, we gather for 20 minutes of silent (centering) prayer, followed by a time of slowly reading the upcoming Sunday’s gospel 3 times. After each reading, one of the following questions is asked:
-What did you hear?
-What does it mean?
-What will it cost you?
The answers to these questions are answered in a brief discussion. This group is also dedicated to the practices of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving and to the deepening of our appreciation of the liturgical year.

You are welcome to join us at any time.
