I joined SS. Peter & Paul Parish in late July 2008 as the parish bookkeeper. I bring over twenty years of administrative experience in disbursement and payroll accounting, including office administration. I took the early retirement from Pacific Bell in San Francisco and, before joining our parish, I last worked for a start-up golf technology company in Roseville. I have a bachelor's degree in business and marketing from De La Salle University.
Born in the Philippines, of Chinese descent, I speak a few languages like Tagalog, conversational Chinese of Fujian dialect and some Spanish. I enjoy traveling and learning various cultures and languages. I have visited several countries in Asia, Europe and several beautiful cities in the U.S. So far, my favorite cities are Assisi, Kyoto and San Francisco. Before coming to San Francisco in 1982, I first lived in New York City to land my first job after college in Wall Street. I then followed my dream and came to live in my favorite city in San Francisco. There, too, was where I met my husband Greg and we have been married for almost 14 years. His career in Information Technology brought us to relocate to Rocklin in December 1999.
The very first Mass I attended was here at SS. Peter & Paul. I immediately became inspired by the closeness of the parish community members of many generations and the ministries that offer our abundant Catholic faith to all age groups.
My husband and I are very fortunate to have our kind and caring parents, and all are octogenarians! It is an honor to have the blessings of the company of our parents, large extended families, and very good close friends that add joy and enrich our marriage.
I enjoy reading, skiing, swimming, playing with the kids in the family, and driving back and forth to San Francisco to visit my active senior mother, aunts and long time friends. My mother and I are also active members of the Focolare Movement, an international Catholic group. We’ve both traveled to many places attending conventions and retreats and even went as far as Budapest, Austria and Italy. My mother has been my spiritual partner and mentor and has kept me on my toes. She and her girlfriends, her very own kind of “YaYa Sisterhood,” raised me to understand and enjoy our Faith like they did by asking me to chauffeur and accompany them to their retreats and bible study meetings! So here I am, working for our parish. It is all because my mother inspired me to do it!
