Pastoral Assistant

I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. I married Bruce in 1981. We have two daughters: Ashly and Lindsay. Ashly is a registered nurse, living in Denver and working in the Oncology department at St. Joseph Hospital. Lindsay is currently studying to be a nurse. In 1992, due to Bruce’s job transfer, we relocated first to Henderson, Nevada, then to Redding, California, and finally, in 1995, to Rocklin.

I have been employed at SS. Peter & Paul since March 2003. Prior to my full-time employment as parish secretary and receptionist, I worked part-time as the Religious Education staff assistant. Past occupations include Instructional Aide for special needs students, and my college background and ten-year occupation (1978 – 1988) was as a Medical Assistant.

When I’m not at work I enjoy walking and being out in nature. Tennis is another hobby. I also enjoy reading and learning new things. Of course, socializing and entertaining are my most favored activities! I love to eat, but I don’t like to cook.

I enjoy traveling the United States and I have also visited our North American neighbors (Mexico and Canada), and have traveled to Europe (England, Italy and France). My most memorable trip was to the French Polynesian islands of Tahiti, Bora Bora, Raiatea, and Moorea.

I have had a few influential mentors in my life. First, there are my parents. They taught me about love, joy and peace; how to work hard and be generous; to laugh and have fun; and to cherish family and friends. Then, there is our founding pastor, Fr. Dillon. Much like my parents, Fr. Dillon embodies similar qualities and taught me, above all, compassion for others.
