Are you looking for a bible study that will challenge you but will also give you a chance to share your insights with others? We hope you will take this wonderful opportunity to explore the Word of God.

Here’s a brief rundown of how it this bible study method works:

Time Commitment

This group meets once a week for 90 minutes. Classes are open to men and women, and childcare is often provided (at no charge). Our current group meets on Thursday mornings from 9:30-11:00 a.m.


Study Time Required

You will need to set aside about 90 minutes during the week to do the weekly reading and to answer the questions provided in the study. Some people prefer to do this at one sitting while others commit about 15 minutes a day. It’s really up to you!

Cost

Generally $12 - $15 per unit for materials - payable at the first meeting. Our units vary from 6 - 15 weeks and you will receive a commentary and a study guide. Each unit covers either a book of the bible (such as a Gospel) or it might cover a specific “theme” such as Women in the Old Testament.

What Happens When We Meet

At each weekly meeting, you will have time to discuss the questions and answers on which you worked during the week. You will be guided by a facilitator. You will also be watching a 20 - 30 minute video which presents reflections on your study from scripture scholars, both laypeople and priests. This gives a uniquely Catholic perspective and is quite interesting.
