Sacraments
Infant Baptisms:
Baptisms preparation classes are held on the second Tuesday of the
month at 7:00 pm in Room #2. You must pre-register for a
particular class by calling Darcy at 624-5827 ext. 211. We do
offer free childcare on-site in Room #1 on the night of the
class. Both parents must attend and godparents are highly
encouraged to come as well.
Choosing a date:
Our baptisms take place on the second and
fourth Sundays of the month. Some of our baptisms occur during a
Mass and some occur after Mass. You will receive more
information and a schedule of upcoming baptism dates and times at the
preparation class. Due to the size of our parish and the
importance of celebrating as a faith community, we do not offer
"private" baptisms. Your child will be baptized with several
other children.
Eucharist (Communion) and Reconciliation (Confession):
These sacraments are celebrated in the second grade after a two year
preparation period. Children must be enrolled in the first grade level
prior to entering the second grade level. Call ext. 210 for information.
Confirmation:
Confirmation is celebrated in the eighth grade after a two year
preparation period. Children should be enrolled in both seventh and
eighth grade prior to Confirmation. Call Ann Sims ext. 214 for
information.
Rite of Christian Initiation
RCIA is the process by which one explores faith and life in the
Catholic tradition.
Marriage:
A date must be arranged first by calling the parish office, ext. 6. At
that time a meeting can also be arranged to discuss all the necessary
steps to getting married at SS. Peter and Paul in the Diocese of
Sacramento.
Anointing of the Sick:
If a loved one is ill and in need of an anointing, please call the
parish office at ext. 6 to make arrangements.
Funerals:
Arrangements for a funeral can be made by calling the parish office,
ext. 6.
